As I read this, I'm on a two week medical leave specifically for the purpose of rest and healing. It's not surprising me that I've had a lot of physical and emotional responses simmering to the surface throughout. I think it's hard when it's "counter-culture" to prioritize rest for both physical and emotional purpose (usually both). I had to fight against the feeling of being selfish to take time to rest and heal.
